DAY ONE: Night Falls On Moldova

So I'm wrapping up day on in a nice comfy bed next to a breezy window. I feel like I can still hear "Lucy's" voice in my head. (The part of 'Lucy' will be played by the computerized voice on every PA system in Europe). With the exception of being 'frisked' by a large German woman named Freida, I had a good trip over. After leaving the airport we went to Andy's Pizzeria. Great pizza and amazing ice cream!

I am staying in the infamous 'Stella's House' with about 20-25 girls! It's like the sleep-over that never ends. Totally up my alley, just pull out the nail polish! Today is actually Christmas here. Tomorrow they're making a big dinner for everyone and doing a 'concert'.

They practiced tonight. Check them out: http://vimeo.com/34718234
From the joyous tones in their voices, you would never know one was sold with her sister and brother for 15 chickens only to later be put out on the streets. CHICKENS!!! Who could ever put a price on a life? Each of them have courageous stories that would make you drop to your knees.
I can't wait to meet each one.

Monday will be super exciting. I get to help deliver Christmas shoe boxes to the kids at the orphanages. That's probably one of the best surprises I've had in a while.

Well, it's now creeping up on 1:30am here. Time for to shut the eyelids. God is AWESOME!!
